Wake Up (Damn It's Hot In Here)

So as far as I'm concerned, it's "new start" time. Not as in "midnight move - see you later", but more like I'm interested in starting some new projects. (I tried soooo hard there not to do another quoted item....I was picturing someone doing air quotes while saying it, and it was irritating).

I'm interested in the website Day Zero, which has an interesting premise - mainly pick 101 things you want to do, make the list, and then do them in 1001 days....and I will admit I have started the list....and have stalled about around 30 something. It's not that I'm not creative, but I'm really highly motivated and I find if I want to do something, I eventually will.....but still, there are things that slip by, and seeing it there in black and white would be cool, and motivating.

I opened Garageband for the first time last night since leaving Halifax. Not sure what it means, but it did motivate me to catalogue and make LastFM pages for the various work we had done with the software back in '05/'06. Mostly so if I listen to it, it won't go to some lame artist page. Case in point, there is another Paper Tigers out there....really not too shocking, so I labelled ours Paper Tigers (Canada), made a quick entry, and voila, we're inter-webby famous. Oh...and I took the KNA tracks from the EP and put them up for sale on another website. The lowest price I could choose was .99¢, but now the EP is available for sale if anyone really wants it. The hard part will be getting the royalty cheques of .05¢ to each band member hahaha.

And no, I highly doubt Young Offenders will receive the same treatment. I may however take the unreleased demo and tweak it in GarageBand so the sound quality is a touch better....it may need to be imported from cassette again though....the DATs of that would be great really, but who knows where they ended up.

PS I can also upload the tracks into the software and remix them.....remixed KNA anyone? I'll give it the MSTRKRFT treatment and really soup it up so you can only enjoy it if you're high on E.

Soooo too lazy to upload a track on the page for download, partly because I'm still importing bookmarks to my new macbook, but do yourself a favour and download (OR BUY) The Avalanches. I know it's from years ago, but the wonderful part of being a music junkie is sone stuff has to wait it's turn.

Lates.
