I was told I too picky last night....is that true? Doesn't really seem like it, but I suppose I could be purposely distancing myself for that very reason and am so used that I don't notice how I come across anymore.
If so, is picky so bad? Why do people settle for things and then play the ignore game...ignore the fact that you hate how your life turned out and now you're trapped in a marriage you wish you never had, and kids you maybe regret occasionally, and a job you want to go shoot up some Monday that you had to take because they family needs the cash and you need to suck it up.
Maybe that's my deal. I know that when I eventually take on that responsibility there's no backing out, so I better get it right the first time.
Doesn't help though that I once thought I had it right and was about to take that jump, only to have it thrown back in my face.
So in conclusion, I am picky, because bullshit sucks and life is too short to waste on regret.
I totally realize this insures I will die alone someday....fuck it who cares? I'm comfortable with this I think. Yeah, it's OK.....somebody has to keep the stereotype alive anyway.

I guess it depends. Some people would rather settle for what they can get. Personally, I don't think being picky is a bad thing though. I'd rather not get to the end and regret all the choices I've made. I don't want to be one of the people who are willing to settle.
All the same... you should buy some old man sweaters, and sit in your doorway yelling that at everyone who walks down the hall.
... and I'll be the Crazy Cat Lady! :D
