2006 Year In Review

In 2006 I,

*Finally got out of school after many long years, but am halfway to an economics degree. It'll be completed...soon....

*Moved to Moncton more or less on a whim really. Had to change the scenery and give things a bit of a fresh start. With that in mind, aside from the school hiatus, I...

*"Retired" from playing music. In a Jay-Z sort of sense really. I was just burned out on it. Although it was tonnes of fun, and being on stage and rocking out is as addictive as sex for those of you who want to know. Always craving it, even today as I write haha...

*Landed into a real-live "grownup" relationship, full with all the grownup consequences and problems that come with. It's still ongoing in a sense, but what is known is that right about now, coincidentally with the end of 2006, this relationship is ending, at least in it's first incarnation. Things are evolving and we'll see what happens in the new year...love you Mandy

*Drove down to Halifax and saw the Stones, again...also, saw this year Motley Crue, Kayne West, Alice Cooper, heard Sloan as I was walking to the grounds but missed them unfortunately-as I did when they played Reflections during the Junos and we decided going to the show was a poor idea. Also saw C'mon, and...ummm...many other local Halifax bands in the first half of the year that are escaping me at the moment.

*Got what I consider to be the start of a real job, after many false starts. Technically it's really a call centre and our jobs aren't real secure, but it is with the Government and that's a start in my book. Just need my name out there. Also, I took the leap and applied to jobs in Ottawa, Toronto, Fredericton, Halifax...really lots of places...Toronto, Kingston, Gatineau....wrote many tests in my free time, and I should be hearing back from some in the new year real soon.

Not sure at all what 2007 has in store, but judging from appearances it may be quite the eventful year. Here's hoping they'll be welcome, happy events.

Take care of yourselves out there.
