Oh No, Not You Again

Had an eventful weekend, and it's been ages since the last post...sounds like time to type. Basically, everything starts and ends with last Saturday....ok maybe Friday, that's when we almost missed out on being able to rent the car in time...excitement there for sure. Saturday however, started out with some Federal Gov't tests bright and early at U de M. Still in the 48 hour wait for results as I type, so no news yet on any potential job offers. After the tests, it was hop in the car time and go to make it to Halifax in time for....

....the Rolling Stones show (...'s add excitement and suspense) Despite my tests and Amanda working Sat morning, we made it there only missing Sloan's set, which we could hear walking towards the Commons anyway. My big plan to leave the car in Clayton Park and catch the shuttle into the city worked well also, because not 5 minutes after Amanda and I get to the Lacewood terminal for the shuttle, then Mom, Ian and Brown come walking up.....perfect timing for sure...if only the weather was as co-operative. In case no one heard, the show was a soggy, cold, and windy mess....my sweater I hung up upon getting home at 2AM Sunday morning, was still wet today....nasty, but we braved it anyway. Also ran into some people by chance from HFX and Freddy at the show in the crowd...which was also a pleasant surprise.

I've now seen the Stones twice....odd, never expected to see them once really. Also, I've discovered that I really find having a car handy. I was never much of a city driver before, but this weekend crusing around HFX and Moncton has been fun....sad when I had to return it today...oh well, wait for the cushy gov't job then the wheels will be available.
