I'm beat.....what a night that turned into huh kids? Crazy-ass Hardcore Weekend for sure. The final count on the number of cops that showed up at Gus' during our set is sketchy, but it somewhere around 7-8 based on eyewitness accounts...I was busying playing and stuff.....although I caught the cause, and the scuffle at the door. I was a little disappointed later when the jackass ran up and smashed the window....not cool. Likely one of those things that gets shows at Gus' adversely affected. Goddamn punks, you can dress them up all you want to, but you still can't take them out....
Random showups for the night included Gord, but him showing up wasn't THAT random.....now Ian being there was, he usually floats in and out of shows and the after-parties....but we had Mindy and Katie....definitely random.....you can thank myself, Ian, and Gord for talking them into it at literally the last second.....they got to Gus' just as our set was starting.....excellent timing. Then, after I got my drunken ass home, Nick and Sophie would show up....finally, they got their Christmas present.....now as soon as hey drive Mel's present to her house....Xmas is finally over with.
To those who missed the Girls Gone Wild screening...too bad for you, to those who did see it, my God I'm sorry hahahaha. It was hysterical to watch really....I enjoyed critiquing it.....basically involving me drunkenly yelling randomness at it for laughs.
Now, here it is almost 3:30 PM, the kitchen is trashed, there's a line-up for the shower.....and I have plans with Julia for a cooking expedition at 6 PM in that very trashed kitchen. So, Julia, if you read this before you come over, it might still be a bit of a mess....we never went to bed until almost sun-up here, so getting things going is a tad difficult. And if you read it after, well that means I've already explained why the kitchen was trashed and no food was cooking at 6 hahaha.
Ok kids, you know what I need to do now.....clean the kitchen, then clean myself.....and I have roughly 2.5 hours to do it in.......
a bientot.
EDIT: The chowder went off without a hitch, and Nick and Sophie made it to the party.....as did Ian, who stopped by as part of his no sleep weekend....with bread, although he knew nothing of the occasion.....weird coincidence, but the bread and rolls were enjoyed by all. I am a deadly cook, hahaha.....seriously though, for never having made anything like that, and for doing it off the top of my head with no measuring, I was happy how it turned out. Now I just need to do the turkey dinner I promised everyone.
Bonne nuit.
